What is the purchasing process for the Douglas County Purchasing Department? |

When purchasing goods or services:

Formal Sealed bids are required if the estimated contract amount for the goods or services is over $20,000. |

2. |
Informal bids are required if the goods or services are expected to have a value of less than $20,000. The Purchasing Department may ask for informal price quotes by written quote, facsimile or telephone. |

3. |
Direct Purchase - The Purchasing Department may purchase directly from a vendor because of an emergency or immediate requirement. |
